Distribution Systems
Compass Industrial Group offers a full line of custom designed Distribution Systems. Our systems are engineered to increase production efficiencies by reducing downtime and product scrap. The following are just a few examples of our Distribution Systems. There are many options depending on your product.

All of our Distribution System components come standard with the following options:

  • Stainless steel product zones - all materials in contact with product and above product are stainless steel.
  • Heavy Duty Construction - Powder Coated tubular steel framework
  • Live nose rollers (as needed for small product transfers)
  • Stainless steel shafting
  • Heavy Duty rollers
  • Washdown options available
Channelling Boards

Channelling Boards
Compass Industrial Group's Channelling Boards are custom designed for your product pattern. The Channelling Board can receive interlocked product and spread to predictable centers. Channelling Boards can also merge product rows 2:1, 3:2, etc. This product merging can also be used to balance rows through out your system.

Shown at left is a merging channelling board.

Auto Dump Conveyors
When downstream equipment is down, and you have filled your product accumulation area, the Auto Dump Conveyor will automatically open and let product escape the system before jams occur. Auto Dump Systems can be designed with different zones, so only the appropriate product is dumped allowing the uneffected zones to continue operating normally. Standard features include:

  • Automatic pneumatic belt tracker with filter regulator and pressure sensor
  • Shaft mounted integrated gearmotors
  • Dual urethane belt scrapers and stainless steel catch pans
  • Linear ball bushings with seals / 400 series stainless steel linear shafting
  • Rodless pneumatic cylinders / filter regulator with main system dump valve
  • Retraction zone guarding

Spreaders
Compass Industrial Group's Spreaders take predictable rows of product and spread them to new centers.
Our spreaders have the following standard components:

  • Manual infeed Adjustment - automatic unit available upon request. This allows small adjustments to be made when your product band moves.
  • Oscillating Stainless Steel Divider rails
  • Stainless Steel Pulleys
  • Shaft mounted integrated gearmotor

Spreaders

Above: A Spreader is shown with a Traveling Nosebar Conveyor infeed.

Traveling Nosebar Conveyor
Often used at the infeed of the Spreader, the Traveling Nosebar Conveyor allows you to run several products with different centerlines on the same line. The discharge nosebar will relocate by recipe setting to the appropriate position on the spreader.

Tops & Bottoms System
Used in sandwich cookie / cracker applications where product need to be flipped before applying the filling.

On-Edge Row Merger

On-Edge Row Merger
The On-Edge Row Merging System is used to merge shingled product together. There are many merging combinations (2:1, 3:1, 3:2, etc) with this system. The On-Edge Row Merger is servo driven.

Shown at left is a 14:7 On-Edge Row Merging System.

Breakers / Strip Breakers
Breakers and Strip Breakers are custom designed for your cracker / graham production line.

Row Removal Systems
Compass Industrial Group offers a full line of fully automated Row Removal Systems. Based on your product and speed we can offer a multiple leg system complete with automatic refeed.

Product Accumulation Systems
Shown at right is a product accumulation system with product on-edge.

Metering Systems
Compass Industrial Group has many options for metering your product. Based on your speed and product, we can make a recommendation to you.

Hand-Loading Systems
In addition to our fully automated distribution systems, we can also offer hand loading systems when automation is not the best solution for you.
